Custom Design Kitchens, the vision of Terry Zarrillo, began while he was making furniture in his neighbor's basement for family and friends.
In 1978, Terry and soon-to-be wife Dawn opened their first kitchen showroom in Schenectady while renting a space in his friend's cabinet shop.
Five years later, the company's growth resulted in a move to a bigger location in downtown Schenectady. At that time, Terry’s brother Pete joined the team and has supervised the workshop ever since.
In 1999, Custom Design Kitchens built and moved into its present location in Princetown.
